Small groups (FISH)

Fellowship in Servant Homes (FISH) - Our vision is to bring God's people truly together to grow, be discipled and become complete in Christ.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to join one of our FISH small groups, each of which is designed around three principles: fellowship, spiritual formation and outreach. These make up our covenant, located to the right ---->

We have several groups to choose from, and new groups are always forming. If you have questions about this ministry, or wonder how you might become involved in a group, please contact the church office. We can also supply groups with wonderful study guides and provide additional support.

Adapted from Rick Warren's The Purpose Driven Life:

In seeking Genuine Fellowship we will:

  • Share our true feelings (authenticity)
  • Encourage each other (mutuality)
  • Support each other (sympathy)
  • Forgive each other (mercy)
  • Speak the truth in love (honesty)
  • Admit our weaknesses (humility)
  • Respect our differences (courtesy)
  • Not gossip (confidentiality)
  • Make the group a priority (frequency)

In seeking Spiritual Formation we will:

  • Pray for each other
  • Diligently study God's Word
  • Come prepared for each meeting relative to our lesson material and individual responsibilities

In seeking Service and Outreach we will:

  • Use our gifts as "active participants" of genuine fellowship
  • We will seek ways in which we may serve the community outside our church body
  • Expand the family of God (implementing the open-chair policy and birthing new groups)
