Music

In our Music Ministry at New Hope Church, we desire to provide high quality music that enhances our times of worship by being Christ centered, uplifting, authentic, and engaging! In addition, our mission is to equip our people to use their wide variety of gifts to glorify God and edify the body of Christ.

New Hope is blessed with a variety of musical groups and ministries. For more information on any of these opportunities, contact Christine Loy, Director of Music, at 614.766.5445 or loy@newhopeworship.com.

Sanctuary Choir

Our Sanctuary Choir is our primary choir, providing music for our 11:00AM traditional worship service and participating in our 9:30AM Living Water contemporary worship service once a month. This group sings a very wide variety of styles and levels of music. Praising God through song, fellowship, and fun are our primary objectives! Open to anyone high school age and up. Reading music or auditions are not required!

Generally this choir offers Christmas concerts, Easter week services, and special events throughout the year. Rehearsals: Thursdays at 7:15PM

Worship Band

Our 9:30AM Living Water contemporary worship service is led primarily by our Worship Band. This group consists of keyboards, guitars, bass, drums, and singers, and occasionally horns, strings, or flute. We desire folks who are very in-tune with contemporary and spirit-led worship to assist in this service. Auditions and discernment process are required. Rehearsals: Thursdays at 6:20PM

Handbell Choirs

The New Hope Handbell Choirs ring for our 11:00AM traditional worship service several times a year. Both the youth and adult choirs ring on a short-term session basis. Our youth handbell choir is open to 5th through 8th graders, and our adult handbell choir is open to anyone high school age and up. Music reading is helpful but not required. Rehearsals: Sunday afternoons (youth bells) and Thursday evenings (adult bells)

Children's Choirs

Our Graded Children’s choirs meet as part of New Hope's Wednesday night children’s ministry program. We have choirs for K-5th grade that participate at Christmas and again in the winter/spring months, on a semester basis. This group incorporates drama, solos, puppets, and music into their program as they learn about worshipping our great God! Rehearsals: Wednesdays at 4:30PM; click here for more information.

Instrumentalists

If you play an instrument – keyboard, horns, woodwinds, strings, or other instruments - there are always places to offer your gifts through music. We desire a variety of instrumentalists to play at selected Sunday services, as well as Christmas, Easter, and special times throughout the year. Auditions are required; arrangements can be made by calling the music office at 614.766.5445. Rehearsals: Various

Tech Ministry

Serving our projection, video, computer and sound board needs for all services, our projection and sound tech ministry is a growing ministry! For those who are gifted in computers, visual media, and sound mixing, we work very closely together as part of the worship team. We work on a rotating basis for both projection and/or sound for all services and needs of the church.

Summer Praise Choir

During the summer months, our Contemporary Praise Choir provides music at the 9:30AM Living Water contemporary worship service. Sing with us all summer, or as your schedule allows. Watch for more information in Spring 2010.
